Phantom mode · light is the wire
Year-4000 transport · ships today
Hylaq is the carrier.
No SIM. No WiFi. No Bluetooth. No LoRa. No internet.
Just light. Your phone's screen flashes bytes; another phone's camera reads them. The photons between the two devices are the entire wire.
No-radio verification
- • Physical layer: visible light — literal photons between two screens
- • Bandwidth: ~5 bps (single-bit luminance modulation, 200ms / symbol)
- • Range: ~0.2 — 5 m line-of-sight
- • Carrier in the byte path: none
- • Air session machinery: same pathfinder, same Loadit settlement, same Hylaq handles — VLC is just a transport
A SIM-less, WiFi-less, Bluetooth-less, internet-less phone with a working screen and camera can send and receive Hylaq bytes.
How to demo
- 1. Phone A (sender): airplane mode, no SIM, no WiFi. Open this page, tap Send, type a short message, hit Broadcast.
- 2. Phone B (receiver): airplane mode, no SIM, no WiFi. Open this page, tap Receive, allow camera.
- 3. Hold phone B's camera ~30 cm from phone A's flashing screen, centered.
- 4. Watch the brightness graph oscillate. Decoded messages pop up as they lock-in.
